USA TN. A cello in there "for an extra dose of melancholy", as one fellow internaut puts it. Two guitars, bass, and drums, so all good.
Barbet Schroeder (Barfly, Single White Female, etc; great first name, btw) had Pink Floyd do the soundtrack to two of his early films. First was 1969's More and was the first disc strictly with the band proper, as I revere it. People hot for Syd Barrett are sentimental either for controversy or shitty drugs.
Some negotiable instrumentals from same (Gilmour, Mason), while the last--The Nile Song--is their closest foray into proto-punk territory.
Hope it doesn't load stone-age like.
