woodruff of E. Mich recently fired (probably old news)

Rumor in the Northwest is that Mike Belotti of Oregon will step down at the end of the year for personal reasons (marriage).

The rumor is Mike Belotti's wife cheated on him and was sleeping with her personal trainer. Very sad for Mike Belotti.

Saban will leave LSU and go to the NFL...........and coach the Bears! Mike Stoops will take over at LSU. I expect Norm Chow to get strong consideration for the U. of A. job. When Tommy Bowden gets fired at Clemson, Chow will be first on their list. Remember this is what I got from a few sources but generally are rumours. Thought I would throw them out there.

Norm Chow makes close to 1million being an OC at USC. Thats a lot more $$$ than most head coaches make across the country. I also am not sure if he wants to become a head coach and re-build a program (Arizona). Clemson might be attractive choice for Chow, but they would have to pay him big $$$$. Chow also promised John David Booty (frosh) that he will be at USC for all 4 years. Chow seems like a noble guy so I am not sure if he makes/breaks promises.

I personally would not hire Chow as a head coach. He does not seem to like the spotlight and I am not sure how great of a recruiter he would be as a head coach. He also would be a gamble because he never has been a head coach before. I think Chow leaves USC after 4 years to take over a program that does not need rebuilding.

FIGHT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He wanted the BYU HC job and was pissed when he was passed up. He openly spoke about it in the media. He will take a HC job in the next year or two. Nobody wants to be an assistant for his entire career. You make solid pts. about him making alot of money but every guy has an ego and wants to be a HC. Who knows? Like I said I got this info from some reliable sources. Personally I would like to see Urban Meyer leave Utah and take the U. of A. job. He was great at BG and has been great at Utah. All he has done is win as a HC.
I would love to see Mack get the canned. I am going to be covering the T.Tech/Texas next week so I will get a chance to talk with a few people.

I could not agree with you more. Arizona should hire Urban Meyer as head coach. Arizona is a decent program to coach and you can win there.

OREGON plus the points is the play this week if coach is resigning. ;)

Miss St is the play next week if Jackie isn't fired beforehand. If he is, but still coaches the game out, Miss St is still the play ats. :(

C Florida is a go-against this week and the day after Thanksgiving.

Miss St is a go-against this week, but they are getting alot of points!

Any more info out there for other teams and their parting coaches?

I go to Auburn and the big rumor is that Tubberville has already been fired and there is going to be an announcement after the alabam game this weekend......they are saying that he is resigning for health reasons(neck) but he is out and the rumors are petrino(louisville), mike stoops(fat chance), and boise state head coach.....i personally want stoops but i don't think there's any chance at that....

I am a Clemson alumni and wanted to let everyone know that during Tommy Bowden's press conference yesterday, he was asked by a reporter what his future plans were. After staying motionless for several seconds, his chin and his bottom lip began to quiver and he said that is a question he could not answer at this time.

When asked if he felt he would be back next season, he answered that that is a question someone else would have to answer. He was then asked if he wanted to stay at Clemson and he responded by saying that he is going full force with every amount of energy that he has in his body to beat South Carolina.

Several insiders that have ties within the athletic department have pretty much said that Bowden has already been fired and that the announcement will be made following the South Carolina or during the week after the game.

Some popular candidates around here so far have been George O'Leary, R.C. Slocum possibly.

There has been rumor that he may have already been offered the job at Miss. State and possibly even Auburn if Tuberville is fired. Will let you know later as soon as other details come across the wire.

If Saban leaves LSU any time soon, I would be surprised. Of course, he would be joining the long list of HC who blatantly lie about their prospects of moving on. Last week on his radio show Saban expressed his gratitude to the Administration and to the fans for all of the supprot that he has received. He went on to add that he plans on remaining at LSU for a long time to come.

It seems this program is on its way to becoming an elite program for years to come. LSU owes this to Nick Saban. If he elects to leave for the NFL, I for one, would not be bitter towards him.

hope Saban stays at LSU...the colleges is the only place to be...just have him check with Pitino and Spurrier...just something about playing for free and the fans, cheerleaders, the band, hotdogs, bottled water, soda pop, and an occasional "sniff of that thing"...how better can it get? :D
