I think Memphis will hit on all cylinders this year.

I will be at a couple of early UF games. I can't wait to see how they are this year.

Muskies picked to win Atlantic 10
Three starters return to lineup

For the second straight year, Xavier University has been picked as the team to beat in the Atlantic 10 men's basketball race.

The Musketeers were the top choice in a poll of the league's head coaches and media released at Thursday's media day in Atlantic City, N.J., site of the 2008 A-10 Championship. They received 42 of the 59 first-place votes.

Xavier returns three starters from last year's team (25-9 overall, 13-3 A-10), which shared the regular-season title with Massachusetts and advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament. Leading XU will be senior guards Drew Lavender and Stanley Burrell, who were named to the preseason All-Conference first- and second-teams, respectively. Dante Jackson of Xavier was named to the preseason All-Rookie team.

Xavier begins the regular season Nov. 10 vs. Southeast Missouri State at Cintas Center.

IE, I agree Xavier looks pretty good on paper.

As for Memphis, it will be interesting to see if they respond to they hype being put on them. They have a tough non-cof schedule, but the tough ones (Zona, GTown, USC) are all at home.

One team I got my eye on is Western Michigan as they return all of their starters from last year. They should be competitive in all their non-conference games (excluding Oregon).
