Any thoughts yet on ISU/Baylor?

Can't disagree with that argument, but Iowa St. is a tough steam to pick against. They can score in bunches in a lot of ways and are always a threat to close the gap. I think I'm staying off this game, though I do think Iowa St. is the better overall team if you're looking to bet.

It should be a good game, but I think it is suicide to bet against ISU the way they are shooting right now. Good luck.

I think the Senior leadership that Kane brings coupled with Niang on the block and ejim and that makes this team TOUGH to beat. I think they can speed up and slow down at will and I believe they will handle Baylor today. Baylor a good team but not the Big 12 Champion.

Oh, and one more reason not to bet against Iowa State. Georges Niang. It is really hard to defend him when you get distracted by watching his breasts flop around out there. Dude is seriously in need of a sports bra.

I have watched Moo U many games this year. I think if they are hitting their 3's--70+ % last nite
they can beat anyone in the nation.. What hurts them is a good big man in the middle--
Kansas's big guy did not play last nite--the 1st two times they played he dominated inside.
Baylor is not discilpined enuff to beat ISU tonite. Hoiberg is not a great coach and not playing at Hilton Magic plus
facing some better coaches might make (I think they will be a #4 seed) and early demise??

I respect your opinion, but how in the world can you say Hoiberg is not a great coach? :scared

He is one of the best coaches in America. I'd certainly rather have him than that hothead, brain-dead McCaffrey. What a fucking collapse to end a season!

I agree with Hawkeye. Hoiberg is a great recruiter and a good coach in practice but in-game coach.... :popcorn2 Not so much.

This team has the ability to be a final four team but ONLY if they shoot like they did over the weekend. They will be ambushed in Game 2 next weekend or first game of weekend 2.

One huge thing to consider when looking at them is they keep fighting. They have come from behind big (double digits) 8-9 times this year and won. They have truly been a treat to watch this year.

. Builds a program for now but not later.

Ejim was part of Hoiberg's first recruiting class. He also recruited Niang, Morris and Long. Yes, he has gotten significant transfers like Kane, but you are misinformed if you think the majority of the team is built that way. Trust me, I hate ISU as much or more than the next guy. As a big fan of the Hawkeyes and Jayhawks who has spent a lot of time in central Iowa, I get annoyed as hell with their fans. But anyone who says that Hoiberg is not a good coach simply is nuts. I'd like to see how many other coaches could win a Big 12 tourney title with ISU. Good luck! You get recruits to Ames, and most are probably thinking, "How fast can I get the fuck out of here?"

And Hoiberg is not a good in-game coach? :mj07::mj07::mj07:

Smax, you obviously did not watch the Big 12 tourney when they came back from double-digit deficits in both of their last two games! Just because he is calm on the sidelines does not make him a bad coach!

Cannot believe you guys are forcing me to defend the ISU coach. Damn! I feel dirty!

I respect your capping Hawk, but this is easily your silliest post I have seen. You don't really believe this do you? Fred certainly mixes in transfers, but would you take Niang, Thomas or Morris on your team this year...all 4 year guys.

They have improved every year under Fred and are improving while Fran and the Hawks are in absolute free fall. But keep building Iowa up with studs from Sioux City
