i know i`m damned disappointed.....maybe it was an accident......

but....the guy keeps several loaded guns around his place....he was allegedly drinking......just the fact that he pointed a loaded gun at another human being is enough, imo,to do some time....

then, throw in all the evidence tampering and attempts to hide what actually happened......wtf???

how can this guy walk away with probation?....because he`s a pseudo-celebrity?....

c`mon.....even the lawyers here have to be a little shocked....

i`m through with the jury system...it`s getting silly...

Agreed.
If I drove drunk and god forbid killied someone, I'd do time.
Holding a gun drunk should carry the same weight..

I cant understand any of it. They say he is guilty of trying to hide a crime. Then they say he's not guilty of a crime. Is that not true or did I miss soemthing.

`ve heard it said

`ve heard it said

that we have the best legal system in the world.....i guess if you hear it enough,it must be true.....  .....

i feel sorry for the rest of the world....

maybe it`s just the trials of the rich and famous....certainly don`t seem to get any semblance of justice when somebody has some modicum of fame....

koby`s lawyers have trashed the alleged "victim" unmercifully...maybe she`s crazy....but if she`s not, she`s been victimized twice....

he`ll certainly walk....people will defend him right or wrong...

don`t people realize he`s "KOBE"?

don`t mean to condescend....but,some folks just don`t belong in the jury pool...much less the gene pool...

I watched alot of this trial and taped when I was not around.

Before the trial began Williams was offered 3 years not to go to trial which he refused.

Gus was in the bedroom with his camera trying to get a picture of Williams and the Globetrotters together. Right before he shot Gus Williams called him a m...... f....er.

Then all the hiding began. There was little concern shown for Gus laying there dieing. The concern was for how to get Williams out of it which they did for days before one of the witnesses felt guilty and called and told the police the truth.

Some of the jurists were smiling at Williams during the trial and they seemed particularly enamored with his black lawyer I forget his name.

One of the black female jurists after the trial said she just did not feel like he could murder someone. Yeh dumb ass and in the meantime Gus is pushing daisys. Also one of the jurors made it known she had a vacation planned for Saturday. The verdict came in conveniantly on Friday.

Man I tell you I was pissed at this verdict. Not as bad as OJ but almost. He treated Gus like dirt, was drunk, called him a shineboy at one point, and then accidently kills him.

Not to mention previous incidents of shooting and killing his dog at his house and threatening a friend of his with a shotgun one other time. And another instance of shooting a car in a parking lot. None of which could be brought out.

The judge can give him 364 days in County jail instead of prison but I doubt he will even get that. The civil payoff to Gus's family of 2 million dollars seemed to keep them quiet which is also sad.

There is no justice in America. This is a outrage.

Another example of how money talks in our courts.

I'm not gonna get too involved here. It's a shame what happened. Very few know what happened, certainly not us. That said, the incarceration of an innocent man would be nearly as big of a tragedy as the death of another. Our legal system takes that into account. As for OJ, he should be in prison. However, if you think OJ will ever enjoy another day of his life, I think you're wrong. He's in a constant world of self-inflicted hell. When OJ looks into anybody's eyes, he knows what they're thinking, that'll never change. Just my opinion, guys and gals.

i disagree

i disagree

i think we pretty much know what happened...the guys ran up around a $600 bar tab......got a little drunk.....a guy that keeps loaded weapons in his home and that has a history of being irresponsible with them accidentally(i`ll give him benefit of the doubt)shoots someone to death.....

then tries to cover up what he did....lies to the authorities.....

and when one of the women jurors was asked about the verdict, she said...,"i looked into his eyes and he didn`t look like a cold blooded killer."....................????????

wtf???

was that the issue?.......was she sleeping through the trial?....the trial was about negligence, recklessness and subterfuge......

all of which williams was obviously guilty....

and a man is dead....and williams and his conveniently pregnant wife will walk away.....

i think we know....scott laid it out perfectly...
