Where it is real F ing COLD
I played softball Wednesday night and when I woke up Thursday my joints were in more pain than normal, I immediately put it off to aging and softball. I finished work and then spent much of 36 hours in bed with flu like symptoms, joint pain, sweats, chills etc. I felt good this AM and went to work, tonight the body aches are back. I understand this can be the process of the flu, we have had some fall like weather. I know to let it play out for a few more days but I'm going to jump the gun and get an antibiotic or consult a Lyme's physician.

I have 3 factors.

1. I live in NW Wisconsin where Lyme ticks are common.

2. I have had 2 ticks bitten into me, they weren't deer ticks but standard ticks but deer ticks are hard to see.

3. My dogs have never tested positive for Lymes but they have tested positive for other tick diseases.

I maybe just freaking myself out a little bit but the symptoms in June, correlating with tick bites has me a little on edge. Thought I read a Lyme's thread a while back but I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday

My daughter was diagnosed with it about 2 months ago.....19 years old.....scary shit.....do not go to a regular physician nor an infectious disease specialist.....as they do not know how to treat properly. You HAVE to see a Lyme literate doctor, they are hard to find, but they are out there.....it's like a underground world.....you will understand what I am talking about once you start researching! Lyme disease is the fastest growing epidemic in this country and the country does not recognize it!!! Good luck and let me know if you have any questions, I will try and help as much as I can

Yeah I should mention that I do not have the Red Bullseye but one can still have it. Although I am glad I don;t have it cause it is a dead give away and classic symptom

Thanks,

I will have to ask my sister about Lyme's literate doctors, she is a big wig at local hospital. I would think there would be some in the area cause of the risk here. I don't want to jump the gun either but I know early tx is the key

If you have Lymes disease, then you contracted it earlier. The symptoms don't present themselves the day after. There is an incubation period of 3-10 days.

Exactly it's been a few days before Thursday, I can't remember the exact days but I think it was over last weekend and maybe Monday, was out fishing

I had 7 brown recluse bites about 2 months ago ... 4 of them got infected with the poison and still have not gone away ... they are right in the middle of my back where I cant see or touch ... about a week after the bites I got semi delirious and was going from fever to severe chills ... went to emergency room and fever was 102.6 and could have been in bad shape if waited much longer ... will have 4 pock marks in my back where the poison killed the skin ...

dont play around bro ... blood tests tomorrow!

No blood tests tomorrow, I can wait a little longer. Plus blood tests not conclusive from what i have raad. Recluse bites are much much worse, holy shit, that's nasty shit to deal with. Another point for living up in the cold wilderness

On the course!
The symptoms sound hauntingly like Celiac Disease. Go gluten free for a month and get back to us.

Great advice. Took my sister about 5 years of pain and struggle to get her life back. It's debilitating.

I'm thankful I haven't had it with as many tick bites as I have had. I had a patient a few weeks ago with a temp of unknown origin where the md drew a "tick panel". RMSF, Lyme dz, and Erlichiosis I believe. I think they are not diagnosed a lot more than we realize.
