started a tournament 4 hours ago with over 1000 people. i'm now 23rd out of the remaining 45. and 20 minutes ago, the whole site seems to have frozen up.

i'm glad it's not just me. i'm still frozen out... it's been over an hour now. talked to one other friend who also got booted out. i gotta believe it's the whole site. i wonder what they're gonna do. first place in this tournament is over $5K.

nothing that i know of. i really can't wait to see what their protocol is for this. if they invalidate the entire tournament and i wasted nearly 4 hours for nothing... including making the absolute sickest call i've ever made... i'm gonna be pissed.

justin, what do you mean? they split the pot prorated by how many chips you had? so if i had 5% of the chips, i'd get 5% of the total pot? that sounds like the fairest way to do it i guess. that'd give me ~ $470. i would have had to come in 8th to win more than that.

site is still down. Huge, funny thread on 2+2 about it. Glad I hadn't planned on playing tonight! Would like to play now though...

they have a slight variation of what we talked about. here is their policy...

When a tournament is cancelled after it reaches the money, according to
tournament rule 31.3:
? All remaining players will have their tournament fee of $2.00
refunded and be awarded with the next guaranteed payout of the tournament,
$71.10.
? The remaining prize pool will be divided and distributed according
to chip count - (Remaining Prize Pool)*(Your Chip Count)/(Total Chips
in Play) = Your Share of Remaining Prize Pool.
In your case, this means $19118.78*58360/3174000=$351.53

Tournament Fee Refunded: $2.00
+ Next Guaranteed Payout: $71.10
+ Your Share of Remaining Prize Pool: $351.53
Total Amount Credited to Your Account: $424.63

so at least i didn't play for nearly 4 hours for nothing.
