Anyone do a couples trip to Vegas?

I've only been to Vegas one time with my wife. As the plane took off I proclaimed, to my wife and all in attendance, that I would never visit sin city with her again. She's not a big gambler and was frankly a big buzz kill.

Anyways, as they say, time dulls things. We've got another couple who we are friends with and the topic came up about going with them. He is also a gambler. I figure we can pool it up during the day, catch a nice dinner, and we can hit the tables late nights and also when the girls are at the spa.

Anyone here ever go to Vegas with another couple or is it something that should be a guys only thing.

here's how it will go down...
day 1 - the wives will do something together, it will last until about 2pm and then they will come find you boys and say "spend time with meeeeeeeeee"
days 2, 3, and more - you will wake up in the morning and they will want to do couples shit and not be left alone for more than 1 hour at a time.
at night when you think they will go to sleep and you can go gamboool,... you might pull it off the first night, but be prepared for ugly looks and guilt the following morning.

I have and we made it work. Not sure that I would try it again unless my wife was great friends with the other chick. My parents live in Vegas and she generally doesn't join me SB Weekend because she does not like football, golfing, or gambling. If she came with me, we'd both be miserable unless she had someone to hang with the whole time (other than me).

in 10 days, i'm making my 2nd vegas trip with a GF. the first was maybe 7 years ago with a different GF, and it was my worst vegas trip by far. don't get me wrong, i still had a good time. but it wasn't even close to any other trip out there.

so current GF has been begging me for years now to go with me. she doesn't gamble, but she has family there. i've clearly explained many times that i'm there to drink and gamble and we'll probably only see each other for meals. ok, i also finally consented to her demand to at least meet her cousin one day.

fortunately the basketball has been bouncing my way the last few weeks, so i may be able to give her a little extra spending money, which will buy me a little more time. literally. but the two of us have completely different agendas out there, and marine is right... it's going to get worse and worse as the trip progresses. she's going to want to do things and "i don't want to do it alone" will be heard many times.

i'm sure there are a few chicks out there with whom it would be alright. but they are few and far between. i've always thought a couples trip would be the best way to do it, as long as the other guy is cool and the two ladies are really good friends who would be happy spending a few days together without bothering the men.

that said, i'm still looking forward to my worst or second worst trip to vegas. if i can win enough money to cover the trip and i don't come back married, i'll consider it a win.

ok if I spend your money with the other wives and ya'll keep my wife out of jail and throwing dice with ya'll at the crap table..

come by the cocktail lounge around 11pm....[she will have graded your last nerve with stories about how fantastic a guy I am by then ..plus 8 or 10 rum and diet and it's kinda messy ..ya know..the whole drunk women are unattractive but stumbling drunk men are cool thing.].... me and the other wives will be having tea and checking out all the nice clothes we bought ..on sale of course.

ever since i've been married, i've gone Vegas with the lady and always is a tradition to leave her be at the outlet shops, malls and places to enjoy and i'll take the tables...later we'll meet for the shows/concerts/whatever...occasional trips outside Sin City togheter and all well...and of course my loner escapades when she has work and i don't:toast:

We go twice a year with another couple. The guys gamble, the women shop, get massages etc, then we see a show or two at night, eat at great restaurants. The women like the trip more than the guys. Highly recommend it.

Done the couples thing the last two years. Had a great time. Wife doesn't gamble but she enjoys hanging out in the casino and pounding the rum and diet cokes which typically makes for a good night for me. Probably not common, but I have a great time in Vegas with my wife.
