Wow staying up every night with a newborn then getting up for work is starting to take its toll..

Came home with a bottle of Crown Reserve.. Just poured a glass and feeling better..

Time to throw away some money on Pre Season and relax a bit..

My wife had maternity leave, so she took care of the our kids at night so that I could get some rest. We were fortunate that our children were both sleeping through the night by 3 months.

Good luck......

Sounds nice.. Unfortunatly I have one of those jobs that I make my own schedule... and my wife knows it. haha So ive been helping at nights and sleeping in a bit.. but its still hard. My wife is on leave as well but she looks so tired all the time.. I feel awful not helping out.

Im only three weeks in. Hopefully by three months I will be sleeping at least six or seven hours

Right on. I wanted to help my wife, too. So I would help out by day, because, like you, I am fortunate to make my own schedule.

Fatherhood is a wonderful thing, and I like to hear that you are, and want to be, an involved dad.

Good luck with your preseason plays:toast:

Can honestly say that if children poped out as developed and mature as 6 month olds then I would want 10, but that first 6 months is for the birds. Yeah theyre your kids and you love them but until about 6 months they only cry, shit, eat, shit, cry some more and sleep:facepalm: The 2-4 age is my favorite. They are cute, funny, and start really enjoying things without a care in the world. Unfortunately my youngest is about out of baby stage(4) and they have discovered the material goods of the world. I can sympathize, fortunately for me my youngest will be leaving the house next year. Then I'll bide my time and wait to get grandkids, then I'll get my revenge. Bwhahahaha!

4 kids and I feel your pain. My last 3 kids were all sleeping through the night at 6 weeks. We follow the book "Baby Wise". Sleep - Eat - Play. It's all about the schedule. Good luck.

The 2-4 age is my favorite.

:00hour

My daughter turned 3 on Monday and my son is 18 months. It is so much fun playing with them and chasing my little man around. The 3 year old starts pre-school next week. :0074

We got very lucky with our kids. Both of them were sleeping 5-6 hours at a time((at night) from their first nights home. You'd get up with them once, they'd either breast-feed or I'd give them a bottle, and they(and us,too) were back to sleep very quickly for another 4-5 hours.
At about 3 months they (we!) went through a few tough weeks where they were up a lot but we got through that time and they are champion sleepers now...:toast:

I've always wondered about the sleep thing. I am a complete and utter panzy-ass when it comes to sleep. If I don't get 8 hours, I feel like shit the next day. I could never be a doctor or work on a crab boat. :142smilie

Wife leaves in a little while for the weekend. Will be my first weekend alone with all three kids. :(

6 years, 3 years, 9 months

6 year old has a soccer game at noon tomorrow which will be AWESOME with all three kids. And by "awesome", I mean "fucking terrible!"

My "break" will come tomorrow around 4 when the 6 year old has a birthday party to go to and he's going with a neighbor. But he's the easy one...

Thanks for sharing gang! I know Ill get through it. Last night turned out to be pretty good. Had a couple of crowns on ice and relaxed.

Won both pre season games. And went to bed at ten thirty.

Got up and fed the little one at 3am. She sucked it right down and went right back to sleep. So I was able to go to bed.

Shes soooo beautiful! Ive never been so in love!
