why else would he run the ball 2-3 times late in game when VA had 1 TO, they shoulda knelt every time after their FD .. also they snapped the ball with 12 secs once on clock and called TO with 11 secs another time ... horrible game management, just another example of it ... no doubt in my mind Bobby was trying to cover at end, only way he couldve lost that game was not kneeling but he wanted cover ... curious if anyone else felt the same thing ... only time he knelt was on last play when it was almost unwritten LAW he must

pt1, I made a similar reference in a different post. The offsides on Virginia allowed extra time to roll off the clock. I really don't think Bobby was trying to cover. But I DO think that his coaches didn't do the end-game math. I agree with what you said. They could have knelt down three times, and that game was over.

honestly not trying to start huge argument b/c

honestly not trying to start huge argument b/c

if bobby didint care about score, and maybe he didnt (maybe he delegates and others wanted to cover or bobby has first stage alzheimers), but as a staff they have no idea how to manage a clock or they kinda enjoyed living on edge and risking fumble by running a minimum of 2 more plays than needed ... extremely bad coaching considering the acc crown might have swung on that game

gl to all, and thanx for the replies guys :)

No. All he had to do was call one pass into the end zone somewhere in the last 8 or 9 plays FSU ran. If it's a TD, they get the cover. If it's incomplete, it keeps time on the clock, and FSU has the excuse to go for the FG on 4th down since they wouldn't be able to run out the clock.
