Seems to me I always notice this..........after sitting for longer periods than normal my back seems to go out or something.

I will barely be able to stand up straight and walk........I can walk(pain is unbearable) but its like I am hunched to one side and when I look in the mirror its like my lower back is to one side more than the other.

The ONLY thing that makes my back go back to its normal position is laying flat on the floor or bed for a lengthly amount of time......sometimes as many as 2 days......

I am suffering right now and went to vegas this weekend
Sitting on Plane to and from
Sitting at tables and sportsbook for hrs a day.......
This has to be the cause........

Its like my back adjusts cause its strained and readjusts when it starts to get better........some guy told me once your lower back muscles do this as some muscles are over-compensating for weaker or strained ones..........

Its almost like I have to stay in semi-traction for a day for it to heal.....one time I tried to twist and turn thinking I could straighten myself out and that time I was in bed for 3 days and could hardly get up to go to the bathroom...........so the best method I have found so far is to just take it easy and lay flat with no sudden jerking movement....

I have a bad back and I would advise you to go get an MRI and some x-rays and find out just what is causing the problem. I waited to long and ended up with surgery and worse problems than when I started! Takning more pain meds now than I did before. You don't say what your physical structure is (ie over weight, slim etc) but there is an old saying "what you have in front (belly) effects your back. Good luck

i have problems when i do alot of yard work....the bending gets me after a few hours......

friend of the old lady`s had back surgery and now she`s lost feeling in one of her feet....

think hard before you go under the knife...

that said,if you have a displaced or deteriorating disc putting pressure on the nerves, you may eventually have no choice in the matter..

you would need 2 surgeons...orthopaedic and a neurosurgeon.....

Actually pretty good shape............not over weight.........lift weights and run around 20 miles a week.........

Funny thing is it starts bothering me when I dont work out............

Seems to feel better sometimes when I take Ibuprofen so that tells me something gets inflamed and the Ibu makes it fell better..........

I think I may be getting closer to MRI time..........

static standing or sitting is the worst thing for most people with bad backs. Usually, if you can move around, you're ok. Even if you don't have a bad back, these things can bother you.

My back is in rough shape for my age; I have a few herniated discs and a few other problems I won't delve into here. What helps me is to move around...

If I'm at the casino or on an airplane like you mentioned, I frequently stand up after folding or walk to the bathroom and back; anything to change position and move. The absolute worst thing for me that causes my back to hurt the most is going to church :( Standing to sing or sitting during the sermon; both are static, and both cause pain.
