Pretty impressive............:SIB
No, just like previously, they don't have the starting pitching in a 7 game series, on top of the middle of their bullpen isn't nothing to write home about.
Sadly, the only way I see it is if they play the Dodgers in the NLCS...
:nono: :nono: :nono: :nono:
And everyone said they were done when they were 16.5 games out from 1st. Never say never... They may win the division.... Yes, unlikely, but taken 1 game at a time, we only need 3 wins. 1 AT A TIME.

And the Rockies' best pitcher in 2007 was ... ??
And the Rockies' best pitcher in 2007 was ... ??
Jeff Francis, or Aaron Cook...but that's irrelevant.
Rockies don't have one starter better than Hamels, Lee, Wainright, or Carpenter, Happ...
The Rockies have a roster which is built for the durability and long haul. Not a playoff series.
IMO, Cardinals win the NL
rockies rotation now is better than 2007 and they made it to world series, got screwed over by the 7-day layoff before playing boston.
Rockies have no chance the Dodgers own them this season . Dodgers have won 12 out of 15 games vs the Rockies. Everytime the Rockies get within range the Dodgers BITCHSLAP them back in their place. GO BIG BLUE
Ubaldo Jimenez is better than Cole Hamels and J.A. Happ.
Your statement makes me wonder if you've seen him pitch.

Your statement makes me wonder if you've actually seen Jimenez pitch against any team worth a pot to piss in.
Ok, so he's 14-12 with a 3.52 era...looks good...
Of those 14 wins, 6 are against +.500 win teams...you know how many are playoff teams? 1 win against a playoff team...11 losses against +.500 teams...pretty much, he makes off pitching against piss poor teams.
No denying he's a decent pitcher...but no way in hell he's better than Hamels...guess you forget about his playoffs last year. He's struggled some this year, but if it's a public pole that no phillies or rockies fan can vote...I wouldn't be shocked if Hamels gets 80% of the vote.
Happ is a rookie, and he's 12-4 with an era almost a whole 1 ER lower than Jimenez. Happ didn't start starting full time until 2 whole months into the season and he's only got 2 less wins...
You're trying to debate pitching performance and skill by using win-loss record an ERA.
Let the record show that I refuse to discuss baseball like a 1990s caveman.
Let the record also show that any person who uses win-loss record as a means of evaluating and comparing pitchers has no business trying to come across as educated on the game of baseball.
In short, it's not a crime to know nothing about a subject. The problem is when you don't know what the hell you're talking about and you try to enter into a discussion.
Do yourself a favor and spend some time on Fangraphs.com or BP. Learn about how to properly analyze pitching. Figure out what the terms FIP, xFIP, DIPS ERA, Expected ERA, and tRA mean. Figure out what WAR is.
Come back and report on these things, then we'll have a discussion on pitching. I don't know a lot about a lot, but the basics of pitcher analysis are the single subject in this entire world I could be considered an "expert" at.
And once again, for your own good, please stop trying to use win-loss record to rate pitchers. It's like using batting average to decide who is the best offensive player.
In would love to see Torre & Manny go down.
