now at 14.5....dont get this one myself

w. car beat them at home by one this year...

last year they lost at home by 4..then went on the road and beat this team by 8

both teams have 5 returning starters back....

just seems like way too many points with the history between these 2 teams...

Although, this is one of my favorite conferences to bet, I a m passing on this game. I can justify either side with the number where it stands at 14, Appy State is clearly the better team and IMO their home court is the 2nd toughest venue in the league. On the other hand, Appy State has Davidson on deck and could be looking past WCU. WCU is a hit or miss team, they are capable of hanging with any team in the Southern Conf, but when they are having a off night they are capable of losing by alot, example of this is a 15 point loss to ths Citadel on the road. Just my opinion but I think there are a few better opportunities in the Southern Conference tonight. Hope you guys nail WCU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do thank all for there input.
MCapper interesting you mention Davidson. wonder how there play will be afected tonight with App ST up next. Davidson being on the road may struggle with Wolford. However I do believe Davison was at home tonight thay would be fav by 7. Dont know if wolford home court is worth 7 points.

I like the points as well.... If you beat someone straight up you tend to gain a confindence boost the second time around...

This reminds me of the Seton Hall vs Georgetown game last week....

wow im sorry i saw this thread so late as the game tips in about 20 minutes. i dont post here much so i might not get any credibility from some people but i have a friend on w. carolina. he doesnt play much but i talk to him alot before the games to see what he has to say. i talked to him earlier today to see what he thought about tonites game. he said they have just as much talent as appy. st. but its probably the toughest place to play in the conference. i then told him the line is 14 and he couldnt believe it. he said there is no reason they shouldnt keep this close and lose by 10 at the most. he is usually right on with the predictions on his team. take it for what its worth guys but im putting a pretty god chunk of change on w. carolina plus the points.;)

I just got in and just found this thread. I had picked this game as my POD on TO's thread.
FWIW, Appalachian State has what is considered to be one of the top 5 toughest places to be the visitor in college hoops. From my power ratings info, Ap. State's home court is worth about a 20 point advantage...before the tip. Figure in the fact that they are also in the top 5 in scoring in the nation, and you've got a potent team.

BTW, Hawaii is number 1 in home court rating. So don't forget the Rainbows, when you need a cover at the end of the day. :D
