Appalachian State is set to welcome another Arkansas-based conference opponent to the snowy High Country.

Two days after losing at home to Little Rock, the Mountaineers (5-9, 0-3 Sun Belt) will face Arkansas State (11-5, 2-1) on Monday at 7 p.m.

App State led with four minutes left in a 76-68 loss to the reigning Sun Belt champions Saturday, and Arkansas State lost 80-65 at Coastal Carolina. The schedule is arranged so that road trips for non-Carolinas teams in the league involve pairing games at Appalachian State with games at Coastal Carolina, which is a little less than five hours from Boone.

Arkansas State has three double-figure scorers in fifth-year senior guard Devin Carter (16.8 points), 6-4 junior college transfer Deven Simms (11.8) and 5-11 junior college transfer Rashad Lindsey (10.3). Carter has gone 52 of 134 (38.8 percent) from 3-point range in 16 games.

The Red Wolves own impressive wins against Georgetown and Chattanooga this season.
