Madjacks 2004 MLB posts:

(yes, I'm counting my Estes/Rockies call from yesterday...
that miracle was the work of Satan (thank-ya-now))
Rangers@Royals under 10.5 -125 1.25/1
-Gobble has looked good at Kauffman, especially this season
-Rogers, though recently with the flu, has looked sharp in '04
-both bullpens were atrocious last year, but look very good so far in '04 (especially the Rangers)
-both clubs hit righties better (Rangers MUCH better vs righties)
-Mike Sweeney, easily KC's best bat, has a sore wrist and was limited to pinch-hitting duty yesterday
-clubs combined for just 5 runs yesterday, and this was with suspect starters going (Dickey and Affeldt)
-both starters, yesterday, worked at least into the 7th, not taxing the pens too much (especially with the day off Monday for both clubs)
-scheduled ump Reynolds is no Jerry Meals (of the jumbo strike zone), but he's not at the other extreme - shouldn't be the determining factor, anyway
Contras include Rogers recent flu, and the return yesterday of Soriano and Jordan to the Rangers line-up.
Still, I think it's worth a play.
