Volfan,

I really respect your knowledge you have been one of the best cappers in here for a long time, but this is one you may not have right. The Reb's will correct what they didn't do right in the Memphis game and they have had 2 weeks to do so. Coach O got some good advice from Mr. Pete this week so I think the Rebs do what they always do BEAT VANDY!!!!!!

BIG ORANGE LAND!!
Hope your right but I dont want TN playing Vandy right now, they have confidence that they can beat almost anyone.
Vandy is getting the most from their D and a pretty good O is putting up just enough. I see a good game between these schools...

AU,

I loved watching you guy's beat State's ass last week. Hell State made your QB look like Joe Montana...LOL. I think we should take care of Vandy this week our "D" looked pretty good against a fired up Memphis team. Spurlock didn't look shell schocked in that game like he did so often last year. Vandy won't be 3-0 after this week!!!!!

I agree. Cutler is a good QB and Ole Piss is catching Vandy at a bad time. 2-0 for the first time since 1988 and playing at home. Spirits are high in Nashville among the alumni because after Ole Piss, Vandy plays Richmond and then the new rivalry with MTSU.... All of a sudden the talk of beginning the season 5-0 is not too far fetched.... :)

Don't take too much offense at the "Ole Piss" reference.... I am a Memphis State grad, so all is fair when you're only 80 miles apart. I really enjoyed the atmosphere in Oxford last year.... You guys sure have some of the best looking college girls (and mothers of college girls) on the planet.... :)

Yeah, MSU was not real high up on defending the tight ends in pass coverage. Made it easy on Cox. Anyway, I liked what I saw from Ole Miss "D" as well against Memphis, and I'm hoping they will be able to get to Cutler and force some turnovers. I like Coach "O" too, he seems like a passionate guy that the players will respond to.

I only wanted the last part of your statement but had to take it all. That is the one thing about Ole Miss is the girls. Now when I go back and walk through the grove It is just incrediable and the shit they wear hell they might as well go without!!!!!

I have to admit, I've been to many college football games at many different venues, but the Grove is by far the best.... I had never seen so many HOTT girls going to a football game in high heels and short skirts.... I will definitely have to make a follow-up trip one of these days.... :)

Back to the game at hand.... Here's something taken from espn's Ivan Maisel....

There are four reasons to take the Commodores seriously:

1. Vandy had to go to the final minutes to beat Wake Forest and Arkansas -- and did it. That's a huge improvement over last season, when the Commodores lost three games in which they held a double-digit lead in the second half.

2. Vandy beat both Wake and Arkansas on the road. They haven't started 2-0 in that fashion since 1943, and if you throw that out as a war year, you have to go back to 1903 to find a similar start.

3. Senior quarterback Jay Cutler, a four-year starter, is playing like a guy with experience and the talent to have NFL scouts interested in him. There's also a high level of leadership that comes with leading teams to victory late in the game. Two games in, Cutler leads the league in total offense (321 yards per game) and has been as big a leader as any quarterback in the conference, and that includes Chris Leak of Florida.

By the way, Cutler leads Leak among active SEC quarterbacks in career passing yardage. Cutler has 6,178. Leak has 6,171.

4. The game against Ole Miss on Saturday will define the season: here's why. The next two games, against I-AA Richmond and Middle Tennessee, are certainly winnable. If Vandy gets to 5-0, they will begin play against the stacked SEC East needing only one victory to qualify for a bowl. If they get there 4-1, that means they will have to beat someone among LSU, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida and Tennessee to qualify for a bowl.

In other words, the game Saturday in Nashville is a fulcrum. We'll find out which way the Commodores go.

OleMissRebel89 -

I know lots of grads from the classes of '89 and '90. Almost married a Kappa who graduated in 1990. Were you in a fraternity? Are you a Jackson native?

Anyway, I love the Rebels here, and the line is dropping, so get it now.
