One of the hardest games to capp.So many variables.Both teams haven't really been tested.Pitt hasn't seen a run attack like this yet. Rutgers hasn't seen a pass attack like Pitt's.It's quickness vs power in the trenches.Both teams have won 10 of there last 13 games.Gotta love Rice and Leonard.Teel RU's Qb is bad.He's thrown 10 long passes and all were incomplete.But he has a great TE.Palko leads the nation in some passing stats.Balanced attack and a solid defense.But RU can play with these guys.Lyr they beat them 37-29.I like the pts here.Rice is capable of breaking a big play on every down. Schaino uses Leonard on passing plays coming out of the backfield.Close game.. Pitt might win but it should be close.Like Ru's quickness over Pitts power.

TCU -11.5 over Army **
TCU has had 16 days to dissect Army's offense.The question is "what offense'? There are so bad.Peveto could be the worst Army Qb in decades. And Armys had some bad ones.He has no touch,can't read,throws balls in coverage.Last game 2 ints and 1 fumble.It's 3 and out all the time.Rice came here to the Point a few weeks ago and beat the Cadets 48-14.TCU's qb ballard might not play.But TCU's defense should stop Armys offense.TCU held Texas Tech to 0 Td's.They did lose there last 2 games to BYU and utah.TCU is hurting with injuries esp in the backfield.Armys defense if you throw out the Rice game isn't to bad. both teams did beat Baylor on the road.Low scoring game.
TCU wins this 24-7 or 27-10.

Texas -5 over Nebraska ****
UT defense will slow down Neb offense.But McCoy is the real McCoy.He should have some big plays vs Neb secondary.Strong play.

BYU -28.5 over UNLV ***
BYU could have almost 28 pts by halftime. Blowout of the day.

UCLA +12 over Notre Dame **
Think despite new qb the "blue" keep it close.

Wisky -6.5 over Purdue ****
Like this play a lot.After watching Painter a few weeks vs ND he's impressive.what an arm. But Purdue's defense is questionable.Wisky has one of the best defenses in the country and there offense should roll over Purdue.Strong play.

Ark St -10 over North Texas *****
Both teams don't have much offense.but one has a defense. NT is dead last out of 119 D-1 schools in offense. Only team that avg's under 200 yds per game.There in the bottom 10 in about 5 catogories.They played a 7 overtime game vs FIU 2 weeks ago and won.They scored 3 FG's in those 7 ot's.Pretty sad.They have 3 qb's and none are effective.No one knows who will start.To make matters worse Darrly Dickey there coach had a mild heart attack and did not travel with the team.There not sure if his condition started in the 3rd overtime or 4th.NT's defense isn't that bad but there on the field a lot...and that is what the problem is. NT has scored 72 pts.And 9 of those were in OT.Ark St has 96 total pts and 56 of those pts were against FIU and memphis last week.Ark beat FIU away 31-6.NT beat them 25-22 in the septagam overtimer at home.
Ark is 3-0 in the sun conf.It's homecoming.NT won the 1st 4 conf titles.Ark did it last yrs.The league is only 5 yrs old.Leonard the ark qb beat memphis on a last second play last week.Ark defense is the key.Think they stop NT.Thomas a top runner has no OL to open up holes. quinn the top WR in the Sun has no one to pass him the ball.Think the score will be low. something like 21-3..24-7..but Ark St wins this and covers..

Can't believe Texas FG kicker..ahhh ...So Fl is sunday nite.. will do it tomr..good luck

So Florida -1 over Cincinnati ***[ downgraded 2 **'s]
Cinncy despite losing has really played pretty good.Took Louiseville right up to the end.Gave Vir Tech and Ohio St problems.Grutza there Qb has done a good job and Moore is there top RB.Defense has really stepped up now ranked in the top 20 in rushing def.Held Louie to 21 pts below avg.Cinncy has played much better teams.USF really hasn't played anybody but Rutgers and Kansas and lost both of them.They have big wins over NC and UConn the past 2 weeks and both of them are weak.On paper and schedules Cinncy has the edge.Playing at home,maybe revenge from lyr's 31-16 loss,weather since USF has practiced all week in 80's degree...but I like the Bulls tonite.
Grothe can both run and throw.So can grutza but not as good.He has 9 passing TD's and 6 on the ground.Last week some starters were reinstated after serving a 6 game suspension for drugs..[I think} Ponson gained 100 yds in his return and Chambers there starting Wr is back.This helps out in the Bulls depth chart having these players back.Bulls offense avg 380 yds.Think they might have trouble vs Cinncy run but Grothe will move the ball.USF defense with its solid LB's will slow down Grutza who has been known to make some bonehead plays.USF wins this by 3-7 pts.

Think I went 10-2 yest.Had 26 plus *'s and 6 minus *'s for a net +20 boxes.{Bubble will soon burst so stay clear}

TCU handled Army pretty easy.Pevoto has been benched after going 0-5,2 ints and a fumble.Everyone here in the Hudson Valley except Bobby Ross knows he's the worst QB on campus. The Army sprint football team who one of my best friends coaches has a better qb.Anyway,it's over. Ross went with frosh Williams. he led army to 2 Td's in the 2nd half.

Rutgers is for real.Rice is unreal.Not sure how many saw this game.Despite a terrible QB RU is a team to be feared in the BE. Rice is in my opinion the best back in the country.another friend of mine that coaches HS played Harrison HS Rice's senior year.I'll always remember him saying this kid is the best NY HS back since Jim Brown.And Rice was going to the Cuse..But Cuse fired Coach Pasqua....stupid.should of kept pasqua until after he signs letter of intent..then fire his ass..Jimmy Boe would of kept him there..

ECU smokes Smoo 38-21.Kudo's to the "son of box" who goes to ECU.All week he's been telling me Wr Andre Allison is going to play after sitting out Tulsa beating.Allison is one of the best WR in the country.What's he doing in Greenville is the question.not blazing speed but runs perfect routes and has hands like glue.My son said" dad,Pickney will go to him all day". I'm sure my sons info comes from the school newspapers and pirate chat rooms,etc but he was right on... they were right... not sure of final stats but allison broke some records yest. 13 receptions-130 yds a Td or two.

And finally my alma mater North Texas. Ark St won 29-10 .I listened to the game and the final 4 minuts of the game really explains what this season is all about.
NT gets the ball at mid-field.Score 29-10. Ark St defense playing soft so Nt completes 3 or 4 pases and Thomas runs it down to the 2yd line. 1st and goal,2 minuts left.I'm ok because I have Ark St -10.if Nt scores its 29-17.not worried. 1st play.. thomas stuffed at the line. No gain. 2nd and goal..high pass in the corner a la basketball.. incomplete.. NT radio announcers upset with that. Next play Collins a Wr comes in and meager the NT qb throws a TD..NT scores..opps wait.. penalty..Collins didn't check in right..back them up. next play pass.. another penalty..ineligible reciever downfield,..thomas brings them back to the 2yd line.Meager on 4th down rolls out to the right...looking for someone in the end zone..he sacked at the 12...got confused myself...think I put 5 downs in there..sorry..remember i graduated from North texas also.anyway..pretty bad..
