Army -14 over Buffalo ****
Hard to believe Im' giving up 2 td's on the road for the black nites....but think these guys are for real...after scoring 66 pts vs UTEP last week with no turnovers...that is the key...last year Army lost 5 or 6 close games in the final minutes because of turnovers...they have none...and their is a reason for that...that don't pitch the ball out on the wings on the qb keep....they do it maybe 2 or 3 times a game....there passing games is short and tight...has a 62% passing rate....Bradshaw is a solid qb that has improved....but Carter is the backup and I really think he is the better qb...and he can throw it....Armys fullback Davidson is one of 3 or 4 players to rush for 100 yds in every game since the start of the season...this kid is amazing....he really is a linebacker playing fullback...this week they had the funeral for their player that was killed..made national news...11 bus loads of cadets went down to NYC to pay respects...pretty powerful....another nice story that happened in the UTEP win... Army has a senior running back who has never played...has been on the bench for 4 years...he has one carry for 5 yds...Monken in the 4th quarter put St Hilaire in and he scored on a 2 yd touchdown and had 51 yds on 7 carries and caught a 19 yd pass...Monken wanted to reward him for his " improved play and dedication"...pretty powerful....anyway Buffalo has 40 new players on this team..already was beaten by Albany...last time 2 yrs ago they couldn't stop the wishbone losing to Army 47-39....Buffalo doesn't play to many offense like this....had only a week to prepare...can't leave out Army defense...they have been excellent....Army wins by 3 td's...
Rice -7 over North Texas *****
NT looked so bad vs florida last week...had 4 total yds in the 1st qrt...got beat 32-0 but it should of been 52-0...Mean Green had 53 total yds in the game and -13 rushing yds...it was tough to watch as an alum...and what matters worse was the line was -33 and the gators couldn't even cover..and of course I had them...Nt defense had some bright spots....NT is boasting they held the Gators 3 times on 3rd down....NT OL is bad...they can't pass the ball...Wr's get very little separation...and can't catch it when the get it.. Wilson is a decent RB.. Their qb is 5'9 but listed at 5'11.. a freshman with a lot of spunk...Rice has played terrible...watched them vs Army and they had no idea what to do on defense...they have an outstanding RB in Dillard and he will be tough to stop..their QB Stehling is 6'5 with a great arm with absolutely no touch...over throws his wr's and throws rockets at them from 7 yds out...he can run out of the pocket...Rice has played Baylor,WKU and Army...3 tough teams...think when they see the Mean Green today they can somewhat relax.. they have Marshall and Mid Tenn on the road in the next 2 weeks...they need to take care of buisness today at home..last year Rice beat North Texas away 38-24 and the year before 41-21...think Owls get a double digit win at home..

Lavaino is the worst D-1 qb in the country...over throws his long wr's under throws his backs...he has 4 td passes..3 of those are to Howard...they got blown out by Washington,was down to Howard 21-0 and looked terrible vs New Mex last week winning and just covering..Grant is one of the most dangerous players in the country...kick off,punts,wrs...has so many moves..Iowa lost to ND St....so much talk about them..paying a team 1 million $'s to beat your ass....think they come out smoking today...no team in the country has to be more embarrassed....

WV is tough..but think BYU D can hang in there..just need some Cougar offense..
