Like the PIRATES tonight for many reasons

PITTSBURGH -165 7 units

Burnett not as tough on the road but a really strong spot to lay this juice tonight. This is the second time Pirates will face this rookie and i can tell you his walks are high because this kid does'nt trust his stuff.
Astros bullpen has blown to straight saves in the ninth, team is as low as it can get right now, losers of nine straight ball games. Pirates playing steady but reds are hot and they need these three games in Houston.

Burnett tonight and the hottest Pirate pitcher in Karstens tomorrow night. Look for the Pirates to trade Karstens and or correia in the next few days to get that bat they have been wanting.

Headley from the Padres will probably be the bat. Thats why they traded for wandy as they did'nt want to get rid of one of their top pitching prospects from the minors.

We will see if Marte can fill the need for a leadoff bat with speed. He will help in left field, now lets see if he can get on and steel some bases. If he can give a spark to the top of the order now that Walker is hitting with Mc Cutchen killing it, the Pirates will be in the hunt till the end for the division or wild card.

Correia is odd man out now. I think he and a prospect for a bat is a coming. But idk who.

I heard tonight the Pirates rejected Victorino for Lincoln. In my opinion, good move.

Dont need Victorino if they let Marte Play , I will roll with the young guy . Would not mind Corriea for Scutaro . Barmes and Barejas are automatic outs.

Few people remember that Karstens was pirates number one pitcher last year with great sinker and fun to play behind. If he stays healthy he can really contribute this second half.
The shortstop and catcher positions are defensive positions . they hit very little but trust me the pitchers on the team love these two guys. Barmes has great range and i'm ok with him hitting 200 as long as he contibutes daily on the defensive. Correia will not stay in the relief roll as he does not miss many bats,:nono: not what the pirates need. they need a big bat, a 4.5 type hitter with power and a lefty power arm in the bullpen to help Watson.
Merte hitting a homerun in leadoff last night was awesome for the young kid. He will be exciting to watch especially if he can creat havic on the base paths. Pirates need that base stealer up top so walker and McCuttchen get more fastballs to hit.

the game played out nicely,:facepalm: pirates have not been beating themselves and are a nice 48-0 when leading after 7 innings. I really like Karstens tonight but still doing a little more research on the game with umpiring and lineups.
