Both of these managers didnt use there best pitchers to try and beat the Yankees. Its beyond me why Pinella didnt pitch Garcia tonight and Art Howe should have pitched Mulder and Hudson back to back when they were up 2-1. It really cost the A's.....

I am shocked Piniero was kept on the bench. He has wicked stuff but he is very young. Gotta go with the pitchers with the best stuff in the playoffs.
couldn't agree more with both of you. Lou had to be out of his mind 2 start Sele. He did and he paid the price. Everyone knows Sele can't succeed under pressure situations. Pineiro was never used except for the sacrafical lamb appearance when the game was over. If he was going with Sele the hook should have come much quicker with Nelson warmed & ready no matter what inning it was! For Seattle last night was a single elimination tournament, Lou didn't seem to understand.
