Apparently you cannot address an assessment of your boring, repetitious copy and paste of some of Manson's old threads Freeze. I responded to you in the other thread the last time you tried to make this leap of faith, and showed how you were wrong. I'll do it again, because it's important for non-Bush followers on this issue to refute the political talking points as we near the election season. I'll eliminate the wisecrack from this one, as this gets less funny the more you post it.
"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program."
- President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998
"We must stop Saddam from ever again jeopardizing the stability and security of his neighbors with weapons of mass destruction."
- Madeline Albright, Feb 1, 1998
"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line."
- President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998
looks like Clinton said the same things GWB said
:nono: :nono: :nono:
The two administrations did NOT say the same thing. Clinton was concerned about Saddam and worked towards sanctions against him, didn't he? Which were of course working, as most will agree. Did he manipulate evidence under the pretense of asking congress and the senate to authorize a war on Iraq? No. Did Bush? Yes. Big frigging difference, my man. Did Clinton say all the things that the Bush administration did in the leadup to the Iraq war? In no way, shape nor form did he. Big Frigging difference.
And the biggest distinction of all, is that even if you try and say they both said the same thing, they certainly didn't DO the same thing. And MOST Americans realize that now, except for the ones who were so in favor of this action and have to try to look "right." There are a few that remain, obviously.
