Astros shortstop Julio Lugo was arrested following Wednesday night's game against the Braves at Minute Maid Park and charged with hitting his wife. Authorities told the Houston Chronicle that Mabely Lugo said she argued with her husband on the way to the ballpark Wednesday afternoon, and he struck her while they were still in the car. After arriving at the ballpark, Lugo allegedly slammed his wife's head into the hood of their vehicle. He was charged with family violence-contact?a misdemeanor assault?and bail was set at $50,000.
