well given that all these athletes made it on their own and worked from the ground up, it doesn't suprise me that they have the same views.

yuppie scumbags, hmmm........kerry and his wife had modest upbringings? i think not

I was absolutely kidding about Yuppie scumbags. Their not young or urban. They can run fast, jump high, can move things and have great hand-eye coordination. It has made them rich. And since their rich, they probably like Bush?s tax policy. I don?t see how this would be interesting.

"They can run fast, jump high, can move things and have great hand-eye coordination."

I got news for ya, if everyone who could do what you mentioned above were in sports, there would be noone left to go and watch these athletes perform.

These athletes worked for what they got and to say otherwise is nonsense

Any pro athlete would be foolish not to back Bush as the vast majority of them are the ones whom reaped the greatest benefits from Bush's ill advised tax cuts. Think about why would they want Kerry to get in there and take those tax cuts back from them?

Good point for those over paid baby's. But those Olympic folks get paid under the table so hard to find what they really get.

She isn't an athelete but...
That lady who plays the wife on "Everybody Loves Raymond" was on stage accepting an award a couple months ago when tears welled up in her eyes.

"I'd just like to thank the brave soldiers overseas fighting terror because if it weren't for them I wouldn't be standing here today accepting this award"

She thanked nobody else. Patricia Heaton is a staunch Republican.

I would say if all the players in diff sports were surveyed there would not be much difference in political preference. The only 2 sports I could think of that would be predominantly conservative are golf & Nascar maybe tennis. I think their affiliations would be determined more from environment they grew up in rather than then their current standings in society--but just my opinion.

Yeah, I can see it now. Jeff Gordon driving his rainbow colored Dodge hemi-powered stockcar with a big Kerry/Edwards decal on his front hood. That would go over big in Taladega.
