ATHLETICS/DEVIL RAYS Over 8.5 ?115 - These clubs put up 11 runs last night, and I like them to sail Over this relatively low total today. The A?s beat up on the Tampa Bay bullpen yesterday, and they may get another early crack at them given that the D-Rays send Hendrickson to the hill. Mark has a 6.75 ERA in 3 starts this season, and he was ineffective in his only start against Oakland, allowing 5 earned runs and 9 Men on Base in 6 innings. It is no coincidence that the Over is 20-11, 64.5% in every start that Hendrickson has made since the beginning of last year. Granted, Hudson is one of the best pitchers in the AL, but if the A?s reach Hendrickson and the Rays bullpen as I expect, it may not matter if Hudson allows just 2 runs or so. It is also worth noting that Tampa Bay has actually hit Hudson pretty well, pounding out 24 hits in 19.1 innings in his last 3 starts against them.
