Atlantic city question

Anyone stayed at the Tropicana? Decent enough place or not? Only have 3 nights to stay in AC during my first vacation of the year, all weeknights of course

I think I remember being there before, but all those places kinda look the same in my mind except for the real dumps, ya know.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks HR, let me clarify, I am interested in the hotel and the rooms, not the casino in this instance. Wife and kids are coming this trip and I just need to know if the hotel itself is decent enough or if it's a dump, will probably end up playing cards elsewhere. I ask because I have a shot at getting the room for next to nothing.

ok....last time I stayed there I vowed never again and that was about 1988. Taj has alot more to offer the family....Right outside there doors is the boardwalk and the steel pier amusement park with great kids stuff and rides.

p.s. the cheeseteak stand right there outside the TAJ doors on the boardwalk is the BEST in A/C. Also the White House is a famous sub shop.
