AU student killed

I just recently moved from Auburn and I cant believe something like this has happened again. A few years ago something similar happened and no one was ever caught. I sure hope AUPD can get some federal help and catch the sorry SOB. I never felt unsafe anywhere in Auburn. It was a great place to go to school and I hope this doesnt make people afraid to attend because this is VERY out of character for the area.thoughts and prayers go out to all friends and family! Hopefully the good Lord will give this guy what he deserves!!

Just as I need money stated, This is VERY out of character in the Auburn area. It has sent a shock through the community, and hopefully justice will be brought to the SOB(s) who did this.
Now, all the girls around campus are talking about pepper spray/mace. this makes me feel kind of sick to my stomach. People always say, this will never happen to me, and chances are it won't. I hate how people are always reactive, especially police. When things like this happen, it goes to show how we need to be proactive.
I was not victim blaming at all in the statement above... just to get that out of the way. chances are, 99% she knew her killer and it happened spontaneously. apparently, it was not planned.
I did not know the girl, but from friends she was one of the nicest people you will meet. It's a shame that this has to happen to anyone, especially her. This has to be rough on her family and friends, and my thoughts and prayers go out to them.
i also just heard that a girl student from n. carolina was just found dead with a few bullets in her...add that to the girl who was kidnapped & found dead in reno & there seems to be an epidemic....horrible !!
