The Avs had an optional practice Friday, with defenseman Erik Johnson and about 10 others skating lightly at the club's Centennial complex. Johnson has missed the past two games with back spasms and will be re-evaluated this morning. ... Matt Duchene played just 5:12 at even strength and 7:21 overall in Thursday's 3-2 loss at Phoenix. He was minus-2 and didn't appear to suffer an injury.
