Aves...shmaves

The Aves have been just plain awful the last 2+ weeks of the season. They can't score, numerous injuries, no chemistry, very little heart...

Going into the playoffs they still have some questions with injuries to Nikolishin, Tanguay, Blake and an unproven goalie in Abisher. They have also been mediocre at home to say the least.

I love ugly teams like this...

Aves -147

and a small play on Aves -1.5 +235 Tempted by the -2.5 +650 but I think that it is exactly that, a tease...

Also grabbing a great price on a home team in the playoffs (especially with the talent the Aves possess) for the series

I didn't play the -2.5 as I thought it was a tease and i never fully expected them to win by 3 goals.

Doc I appreciate the compliment... Elway was the man!!!! I collect a lot of his stuff... got a ton of it everywhere. Old pre-new uniform stuff... old helmets Orange Crush days. That stuff is getting more and more scarce.

Apparently his wife doesnt think he's the man though anymore -- im sure she likes the checks

Hey Mr Hockey nice to see you in a different forum other than the college football exchanges!

Im taking the Flyers ML and Blues ML tonight -- A fave and the dog in the Blues. Hockey playoffs are great I love em. I think the Avs have played like sh*t like you said Doc but playoff time they're more like the LA Lakers and can step it up (at least this is my hope) b/c otherwise if the Avs dont go far in the playoffs what a waste of all that NY Yankee type payroll.
