AVG Anti-Virus Free

Is anyone having problems with the AVG Anti-Virus Free protection program? If you have any information about this, please post.

well if you would post more info like what type of problems your having and which version that might help

The "Free" version 8.0.

The Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware are said to be outdated.

I am going to guess you have tried to reboot and then tried to update from there

Maybe if you manually download the virus files it will trigger an update

AVG8 virus def manual update


If not, I would suggest a uninstall and reinstall. you can find the new version there on Majorgeeks.com website

I've been using it for a few weeks now with no problems.

Uninstall what you have and reinstall the program.

Got the "free" version working again. Did an unstall/reinstall.

Where do you find the "free" version?

Each time I go to a "free" link, it shows I need to purchase the prduct.

Any help would be much appreciated.
