Looks like same lineup as last game for Avs... Koci the scratch, Cumiskey not playing, Holos not playing.

Sabres skating right now in front of me. Any game with Ryan Miller in net is a potentially brutally tough game, and he?ll be in net tonight for Buffalo.

Avs really need this one tonight though. Joe Sacco continues to sound a little frustrated at the lack of intensity his team brings throughout a 60-minute game. You get the distinct impression he thinks his team hasn?t shown enough passion of late, looking a little too much like the team prior to that big bag skate in Atlanta, a team that found ways to lose and didn?t play hard enough ?til the end.

So anything less than a full-passion effort tonight could result in some trips to the doghouse for some players.

Peter Budaj to start for Avalanche vs. Sabres Tuesday

It's Peter Budaj's turn.

After the Avalanche practice this morning at Family Sports Center, coach Joe Sacco said Budaj would get the start in net Tuesday night when Colorado faces the Buffalo Sabres at the Pepsi Center.

"Craig (Anderson) has played the last three games and I've said all along that Peter was going to get his share of games," Sacco said. "I thought Peter played well in the Detroit game (last Monday), and we came up with a point in that game, so I just think it's the right time to get him back in there."

The start will be the 20th game of the season for Budaj, who has a 9-6-3 record, a 3.05 goals-against average and a .897 save percentage.
