I have slowly been learning the sport of horse racing and by that of course I mean handicapping. I got a cruel smack in the face today at the Spa.
Race 6 I had the 7 Al Sheetahn win and place and also had him back wheeled with the field in the exactas. Obviously I was ecstatic when at 71/1 he just missed by a neck but still paid $55 for place and completed a $1,022 exacta. The cruel part is where I play only pays 8/1 for place and 50/1 for exactas. My total winnings -- $200!!!
Where is a good place to play the horses and obviously get better prices. I live in New Jersey and for some reason cannot use OTB in NJ. As of right now I am basically a New York track player.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott
P.S. Take a look at Coa/Contessa in the 4th -- She belongs to us. Contessa's barn this year is better than his claimers as in years past.
