by Sherman, regardless if they made it or not. Get the 3 points on the board and you are two scores ahead.

I have to disagree. You have one of the best short yardage guys in the game, and this is the first time he has failed. Tripping on his own man was the sole reason for him not walking in. I think at Green Bay, he might have went for the 3, but against this team, you need all the points you can get.

Eagles aren't exactly lighting-up the scoreboard today. I would have gladly taken the 10pt lead.

TAKE THE 3...

TAKE THE 3...

this keeps the pressure on Philly...I they were behind at this stage - that is when you go for it...this will come back and haunt GBAY. iN THE PLAY-OFFS YOU TAKE THE POINTS WHEN YOU CAN...!!!

I think it was the right call. Packers are still 7up at the half on the road.

As I said, now that 3 points looks big, but I still think Sherman had the right idea. Christ, it was half a yard. They miss it, and they are still up 7 with the eagles pinned deep. Make it, and it's 14 points to the good, with a team going to the locker feeling defeated........

We'll see how the secon half opens. If Green Bay can go down and score, it might be a moot point. If they get stopped, and Philly ties it up, I think the Pack is in trouble.

as an ex-kicker...

i disagree with the call as well :D

never liked the idea of taking points off the board...especially when its close to halftime and you`ll be getting the ball to start the 2nd half...

No, that was a busted play, I think. This falls on Sherman's shoulders, and it will be tough to live with all year.

You have a guy who failed ONE TIME all season to get a yard when they needed it, and earlier he was tripped up by his own guy. How you take the ball away from him is beyond me.

How dumb can you be. You've got to know that you can't call two straight time outs.

Sherman and Martz have to be the biggest losers in the playoffs.
I had the Pack + 5' straight up and + 11' to hit a six team teaser, but I still wanted them to win. . . and I'm a Redskin fan.

If the Eagles play like this next week. They'll be sitting home for another Super Bowl. They won by default today.
