With Cleveland playing out of town tomorrow, I would doubt MLB would fly in a new set of umps for this one specific game. I'm guessing they'll leave the same crew there that worked the Philly series, which means Doug Eddings, 26-51 under the past 3 seasons, would be behind the plate.

I've only seen that happen one time in three years. They worked a game one in a four game series and was in another town the next night. I've seen them fly in a new crew for a game four many times. I would wait until 10 min before the game and make sure before I made a play on a ump that might not be there. Good luck

i've seen them fly in a new crew to do a game 4
but sometimes they stick around to do the next
home series. in this case, the home team is
on the road the next day so Eddings just might
ump. but always play it safe and find out who
the ump is if possible

But would the crew that flew in for Game 4 of a series stay in town to work the next series? Or go across town? Here there is no option of that since Cleve plays at Colo tomorrow.

not sure who your reply is directed towards V....i've seen them change crews after game 3 a number of times as gsp states. but usually when they do it it is because the home team is staying and playing another series at home. that crew stays after doing game 4 of a series and umps the next series.

as you say, Cleveland is traveling after today, so i'm not sure they'll fly in a crew just for a game when they already have one there.

but it's MLB.....you never know what to expect.

Sdf-

I was replying to GSP; I think we replied about the same time. At 9, I like the under anyways; a team coming off getting shutout then having to travel. This team has Chris Singleton batting 3rd. Singleton is a nice role player but if he's hitting 3rd, you're going to have to scratch for runs. With Eddings umping, I really like the under. Since the under at 9 is around -115/-120, we could see a move to 8.5 if Eddings is listed.
