Alabama and Clemson, yes I'm sure I've heard that somewhere before. For the record I wagered on Oklahoma last week vs the Tide. But this week I'll be on Alabama -5...

I know many, including KOD, which I hate to see, is on the other side of me here. I've heard a lot of talk about how Alabama looked undisciplined and sloppy vs Ou. I'm gonna throw that out due to Alabama opening up 28-0 and maybe loosing a little focus.

My thinking is alabama does get off to good starts averaging 17 points in the first qtr compared to 7.5 for Clemson. If the Tide is able to achieve that type of start, as good as Lawrence is, that would be a big ask to come back against a defense like Bama in a game of this magnitude.

Will I need resuscitation if Clemson wins outright ? Of course not ! They are an extremely talented football team. And if we have to get beat by anyone, I don't mind it being Coach Dabo.

One interesting note, many diehards I know aren't making the trip. Flights out of and around Bham are rare and extremely expensive. And after dropping a couple of dimes in Miami they have chose to stay at home instead of sitting in the rain.

I plan on playing Bama for the game, looking for middle opportunities live and maybe a halftime bet as we go. Clemson was 2nd in the country in 2nd half points for what that's worth.
Good luck to all

If I was going to make wager on a straight bet, I would take Alabama and the five pts.

But I am going to make a gambling bet

I'm going big on Bama since the line came out. My book still have -5 and I've got it in many NFL parlays, winners and losers to date. Clemson did a great job tightening up on ND but they showed enough to me that Bama will slice and dice them while collapsing their OL.

The Dexter Lawrence loss will show up big time here. Bama to knock their teeth in unfortunately.

I have a friend who has access to writers info at a few casinos and he mentioned a very LARGE bet that was made by a sharp on Clemson...Maybe Alabama is overrated and Clemson may win but I think it may be difficult for a freshman to beat this Saban team but the kid is so very talented.. Should be another good one...

This title game is a game of comparison and a lot of hype on the coaches and the QBs. Fact of the matter is when Clemson beat Bama after their narrow loss the first time in the title match it was a seasoned, RPO QB DeShaun Watson who was the difference and he had 2 chances at Bama.

Last year Tua ripped Clemson a new one and Bryant was awful vs Bama. Bama's "D" this year is measurably better than last year's "D" and the offensive talent unit is more experience.

Clemson is going to miss their big DT tonight even with the backup in who's NFL caliber, it's still not enough to stop Bama's receivers and big runners along with Tua. Tua is a bit smarter than last year and his pin point accuracy will be the difference offensively.

Bama's D coordinator is going to throw stuff at freshman QB Lawrence for Clemson stuff he didn't see vs ND and you have to remember he struggled a bit vs Syracuse in the regular season.

Game film, matchups, talent and execution is what win's national championships and -5, -5 1/2, -6, whatever lines are out there should be thrown away because Bama should take care of business in California tonight. Lawrence talent wise is not even close to the level of talent Oklahoma QB Murray and heisman trophy winner to boot has and he gave Bama some trouble only in the open field, Lawrence is 6'4 ish and not as mobile as Murray and the tall D Line for Bama will measure up with him in passing and running situations.

ROLL TIDE!
