-110 = 10% juice
-120 = 20% juice
-130 = 30% juice
-140 = 40% juice
-150 = 50% juice
-160 = 60% juice
-170 = 70% juice
-180 = 80 % juice
-190= 90% juice
-200 = 100% juice

When you see the odds in percentages, you can see the odds are stacked against you when you play the chalk.:scared:scared:scared

The Tigers are "only -130" that's = 30%!! : Like I said last nite, would buy a car at 30% interest? Rhetorical Question.

So what are our choices if you like the chalk to minimize the juice?

1. Lay off the game
2. Bet the Run Line
3. Use a parlay . My personal favorite is an open parlay. For instance Tigers -130 for $100 with an open spot. I know that I will bet another Baseball game later today or tomorrow to close it out. If the Tigers lose, I lose $100 no juice and save the $30 . If I win , I still have action and can close it out with another game and hope it hits.
4.Take the dog

With this approach you still have to pick the 'winners" but IMHO you are ahead of the game by not giving the books "free money" with juice.:SIB

Just my two cents worth:0008

I'm not understanding your point of continuing to post this stuff yesterday and today? Don't you think most in here already know this?

Except none of what you are posting is actually true or makes any sense.

The juice or vigorish is the house take on a game. On a game with a -150 favorite, the juice is NOT 50 cents. If you are playing a dime line and the dog is +140, the juice is 10 cents. Yes, you are laying odds with a -150 favorite, but that is ABSOLUTELY NOT the same as paying 50 percent vigorish. A -150 favorite is a 2-3 favorite to win the game because they are the perceived better team and have an increased chance of winning the game straight up.

if you bet -150 for to win $100 you lose $50 50/100 = 50% skippy:142smilie

I wish I could explain this to you in terms that you would understand, but I'm sure that's not possible.

You probably think the "juice" on Greece to beat Luxembourg yesterday was 3900 "percent" since they were -4000 yesterday. Amazing.

Doesn't matter if you bet it in a parlay or straight bet. It pays the same amount. Just bet 100 on the fav and if it wins bet 100 plus the winnings on the next game you like.
