Remember when Nolan Ryan used to hit 100mph on some pitches?? Everyone talked about it. Now the starters, closers, and 7th inning relievers hit 100+ all day long, and have vicious sinkers and changeups too. Good luck, hitting that schite, especially in the shadows of some of these games. Insane how strong the pitching has become.

agree there's a LOT more hard throwers (and TJ surgeries) than there used to be~!

I grew up an Angels fan and Nolan Ryan fan, and NObody threw harder... I also read that they used to measure speed of the ball as it crossed the plate and it is now measured right as it leaves the SPs hand... Nolan broke 100+ after it traveled 60 feet 6 inches

Arrow had a valid point about the LAD being fastball hitters and they proved it last night.
