Pittsburgh/ChiCubs Under 8' (bought 1/2 pt)
-I really want to take the Pirates in this matchup by as a dog but Pittsburgh just not hitting, but the Under looks just as good. First of all, the Pirates are just 60-85 to the under this season.. In 13 of their last 18 road games, they have gone under the total. in addition, they have scored only. In their last 9 games, the Pirates have scored only 23 runs for an average of only 2.56 per game and an opponents BA of only .189 during this span! Tonight, they start RHP Braxton Ashcraft who between starting and relieving (6 starts) is 4-2 with an ERA of 2.47! In addition, in his last 14 appearances (4 starts) he has an ERA of 1.75 at night and his current form is excellent, going 1-0 in his last 5 starts, giving up only 3 ER's on 12 hits and 23 k's in 21 1/3 IP for an ERA of 1.25! Finally, he just defeated the Cubs 3-2 on August 15th giving up only 1 ER in 7 IP. The Cubs meanwhile, have gone under 4 of 6 and today start RHP Jameson Taillon who is also in excellent form, going 2-0 with an ERA of just 2.35 in his last 3 starts! Finally, in his last 2 starts vs the Cubs, he has allowed 2 ER on 7 hits in 13 1/2 IP for an ERA of 1.35! Play the Under in tonights Cubs/Pirates game............

Washington +131 and Over 9
-The Atlanta Braves come into this game just 30-44 on the road for a money-burning -$3089 by far the worst in the Majors. Today, they start RHP Spencer Strider who has been a complete disaster this season. He is just 5-3 with an ERA just a tick under 5.00 overall, a ghastly 2-6 with an ER of 5.26 on the road and a record of 4-9 an an ERA of 5.52 in night games! In addition, his current form has been awful, with an 0-3 record in his last 4 starts for an ERA of 5.57. He hasn't started out September very good and in August he gave up 21 ER on 32 hits and 7 HR's in 18 1/3 IP for a bloated ERA of 10.13! Meanwhile, the Nats start LHP Mitchell Parker, who has bad seasonal numbers himself, but HAS pitched well as of late going 2-0 with an ERA of 2.84 in is last 2 starts! There is NO way that the Braves (with Strider) should be a mid-favorite on the road! Play Washington and the Over in this contest!

NY Yankees RL -110 (2x)
-The Yankees come into this game with the Twins having won 9 of 10 head-to-head meetings. They come into tonight's game within striking distance of the Toronto Blue Jays in the AL East (only 4 games back) and are in the #1 slot in the AL wild card race. Tonight, they start LHP Carlos Rodon, who has been incredibly affective both overall this year and currently. Rodon is 16-8 with a 3.11 ERA this year, a 7-4 record with a 3.34 ERA on the road, and am 11-5 record at night with a 2.50 ERA. He has gone 5-1 his last 6 games and the Yankees have scored 47 runs (an avg of 9.4 runs per game) in his 5 victories, with all wins by 4 or more runs! Meanwhile, Minnesota is just 65-84 on the year, a money-burning -$2498!. They have lost 3 of 4 and 15 of 24! Tonight, they start Simeon Woods Richarson who is making just his 3rd start since July 28th and hasn't been good going just 1-2 with an ERA of 6.59! Play the Yankees in this one on the run line as they should roll..............

Edit: To make Yankees 2x play!

-The Phillies come into tonight's game 8-2 head-to-head with the Dodgers and 13-4 their last 17 They have a team batting average of .322 during this span. Tonight, they start LHP Ranger Suarez who is 12-6 with an ERA of 2.77 on the season, but does his dirty work on the road with an ERA of just 2.03. In addition, he is 7-3 with a 2.30 ERA at night! In his last 5 starts, he is a perfect 5-0 with an ERA of 0.88 striking out 10 or more batters in 3 of those starts! Meanwhile, the Dodgers have also been hot, but they have been playing sub .500 teams in SF and Colorado. Tonight, they strart RHP Emmet Sheehan who has a nice record of 5-2 with an ERA of 4.09. However, we just can't overlook the outstanding pitching of Suarez at an underdog price. Play the Phillies as a live dog..........

This could have been a horrific bad beat, Phillies catcher drops a bunt pop up and then Max takes a full swing and misses for the last out that the blind ump said he checked it. Thanks God he finally rolled one over for the last out. Nice pick!

yes, you are correct. i forgot to press post on this.....BOTH winners, go figure!!

Arizona -140 and RL +138
-Arizona comes into this game tonight having won 3 of 4 and start RHP Zac Gallen, who after a rough start to the season, has settled down tremendously the last 2 months. In August-September he was 5-2 giving up 15 ER's in 47 2/3 IP for an ERA of 2.83! His current form is also excellent with an ERA of 262 his last 5 starts! Meanwhile, The Giants, after a brief push, have now calmed down and are just 3-5 their last 8. tonight, they start Kai-Wei Teng who has an ERA of 9.68 his last 5 appearances an is just 1-3 on the road with a 7.31 ERA! In addition, he gave up 4 ER's on 3 hits and FIVE walks in just 4 IP his last time out. In a hitter's park that Teng isn't use to, I see him getting hit early and often in this one. Play Arizona and Arizona on the RL........

Record adjusted above! thanks for pointing that out :smilies8
