Cleveland +145
-Pondered long and hard over this one and I just feel that Cleveland is a live dog. Team wise they have won 5 out of the last 6 vs Detroit. They have won 17 out of 20 games while the Tigers barely hung on, squeaking into the playoffs, going 2-12 down the stretch! I know the playoffs are a different animal but these stats you can't ignore. Pitching for Detroit is LHP Tarik Skubal who had a wonderful year. but suffered from "Skenes Disease" whereby he just didn't get any run support and went just 13-6 overall. On the road, he was just 5-6 despite pitching well and the Tigers lost both of his last 2 starts vs the Guardians, the last one being this same pitching matchup back on Sept 23! Detroit will be facing one of the most underrated pitchers in the league in RHP Gavin Williams, who went 12-5 this year with an ERA a tick over 3.00. At home, he was 7-2 and during the day, he went 5-1 with a 2.17 ERA with an opponents BA of .162! Play Cleveland tuesday morning as a very live home dog..........

Playoffs are indeed a different animal. That being said, "flipping the switch" is a hell of a lot harder than it sounds. Seen it time and time again, the so called better team limping into the playoffs and running into a hot team that's been fighting tooth and nail for months to make the playoffs. Obviously not a guarantee of anything but I'd be hard pressed to lay my hard earned money with the tigers @-160+

San Diego +100 (2x)
The Padres are another team that ended the regular season on fire, winning 7 of their last 8 and scoring 47 runs in this span (an average of 5.88 runs per game and came real close to unseating the Dodgers in the NL West. The Cubs, meanwhile went just 4-7 in their last 11 games, but are very formittable at home, going 50-31 in that role this year, but were only a money-making proposition of +$49. Starting for the Padres is their ace Nick Pivetta who went 13-5 overall with an opponents BA of just .195! During the day, he went 7-2 with a 2.32 ERA and had a 3.08 ERA his last 5 starts! In addition, the Cubs don't have a very good history facing Pivetta, with Busch, Armstrong, Happ, Suzuki, Hoerner and Tucker going just 7 for 38 against him for a average of .184 against him with 0 HR's and only 2 xtra base hits. Meanwhile, The Cubs start LHP Matthew Boyd who was 14-8 overall this season with a 3.21 ERA. Play San Diego this afternoon as a 2x play

That was one of the reasons I played Cleveland. It's a stretch against Skubal, but, in my mind, its the only way to go.

NY Yankees -130 (2x)
-I am aware that Boston gives the Yanks fits, but I can't overlook New York at home, where they are 50-31! The Yankees are another team that is red-hot entering the playoffs. They have won 11 of their last 12 games and 7-straight at home! This is also a battle of 2 of the very best pitchers in baseball which leads to even more drama. The Red Sox start their ace Garrett Crochet who is 18-5 on the season with an ERA of 2.59! In addition, he is 13-2 on the road with an ERA of 2.25! Quite impressive! However, his ERA jumps to 3.14 in night games. Meanwhile, the Yankees start THEIR ace, Max Fried who is 19-5 on the season with an ERA of 2.86 and has a record at home of 8-2 at home with an ERA of 2.37 and a record at night of 10-2! Crochet is 4-0 his last 4 starts but his ERA is only 3.55 while Fried is 6-0 in his last 6 starts with an ERA of 2.01! Another important fact is this is Crochet's first playoff start and he may have the jitters especially in Yankees Stadium. There are arguements for both sides in this contest, but I believe the Yankees current hot-streak, being at home, Crochet's inexperience in the post season, and Fried's current form will be the difference. Play the New York Yankees to take game #1 tonight as a 2x play................

Cincinnati/LA Dodgers Under 7
- I already have the Reds winning this series at +200 so I'm going to refrain from picking a side in this game. However, I do like the Under. First of all, these 2 teams are a combined 133-169 to the under and in the last 10 matchups between these 2 teams, they are 2-7-1 to the under. At home, Blake Snell has a 1.17 ERA and has a career ERA of 1.80 vs the Reds, including a no-hitter against them in August of last year! In his last 3 starts, he has allowed 1 ER in 19 IP for an ERA of 0.47. Meanwhile, the Reds start RHP Hunter Greene who is 7-4 on the year with an ERA of 2.76 and an ERA of 2.71 at night. In addition, he has 3 career starts vs the Dodgers with all 3 going under the total. I see a tight low-scoring game so play Cincinnati/Los Angeles Under the total.

I am a lifelong Red Sox fan… So this is not a unbiased take, but I believe crochet is 3-0 against Yanks this season, and in 27 innings has yielded I believe 9 runs. Judge is I believe 2-13 against crochet, and his 2 hits are home runs. As always good luck with your plays my friend.

Is that how it works in games not involving the Jays? Been quite a few outrageous calls against the Jays recently, not overturned even with obvious evidence to do so. This shouldn't have needed a review, I saw easily in real time he was safe. Fuckin umps
