Utah -7.5 over Baylor ***
Mormans vs Protestants Baptists Methodist in Waco on saturday. Think with Utes handling Florida but many are playing Utes because what they did vs Florida last week and many are going against Baylor after they were beaten bad by Texas St, I was at the game in Waco and Tx st defense was over powered on the line of scrimmage They had Baylor in lockdown. Sharpen the Baylor Qb did nothing so even though his injury led him to being replaced long before he was hurt he was not a factor. I see where a lot of people are saying once Bears lost Sharpton they lost the game No way Sharton wasn't sharp and was in check Baylor OL couldn't open up any holes vs Bobcats .
Now they play the top def in the Pac -2. Think there are 2 teams left right??? Utes are " elite on D. Florida had a total of 340 total yds and just above 100 in rushing. Utes off and def lines dominated and think that is where the bears will have trouble . Utah's top qb Rising didn't play in the Florida game so backup qb Barnes started. He had vs. Wash St last year had over 400 yds and although wasn't spectacular vs Florida he did what he had to do 12-18 and a td . Think the Utes OL won't let any Bears near him I am taking the Utes because although Baylor was a 25 pt favorite and lost to Texas St think Utah although on the road in Waco win this by 10-14 pts Think Utah defense will stop an anemic Bears offense that showed nothing saturday night. And not sure if Rising is playing but the x- Texas Longhorn qb would love to show his stuff in his home state only 80 miles south of Austin I mean north of Austin .. Loved the pageantry of the Baylor game last week ... the band drill team freshman class rushing the field. When we got to the game 4 buses crossed in front of us in the parking lot. It was the Tx St teams, band ,cheerleaders etc The people I was with are Baylor season fans and one said there will a lot of sad kids on the way home going back to San Marcus after the game. Well Tex St upset baylor and I thought of those kids are the way home. I'm sure they beeped the horn many times on there trip back to San Marcus.
Think Baylor has a tough time vs a much better defensive team and they really showed nothing vs A team they should of beaten by 25. And Utah stopping Florida gives them the big " mo"
Texas- Bama will do tomorrow I have to stop drinking the Longhorn kool aid and singing " the eyes of Texas" Even this morning after racquetball we all go out for breakfast of Fridays. They all order " breakfast tacos" and one of my buddies was trying to get me to order that. Its my holdout since I retired here in Texas I won't say " ya'll or eat a breakfast taco " Back later with a few more games
