Between Green Bay and Iowa City
NCAA YTD: 37-30 (+10.20*)

Those numbers are a sight for sore eyes with the NFL albatross I've got hanging around my neck.

The linchpin to last week's breakout featuring a full unit on a 7/1 parlay was jumping early on Boise State(-25'). With that in mind and buoyed by last week, I let my instincts guide me with early plays on Monday, knowing there would be opportunities to reconsider before the week was over.

I played these six for between 1/2 to 1 unit each (and all 6 in an unofficial $10 to win $450 parlay):

USC(-3) Anything less than a gritty performance will surprise.
Boise State(-15) Which way would this number go?
Iowa State(-20') Only bad weather would likely make me shy away.
Miami (Ohio)(-5') I just liked it.
Florida State(-5) This side or no side.
Northern Illinois(-3) I could have waited.

All plays later.

My very full card. Any profit I can squeeze out today will be O.K. by me. Enjoy your football Saturday.

USC(-3 and -6) for 2*
Anything less than a gritty performance will surprise. A good bit more will not surprise.

California(-10')(-105) for 2*
Cal at its best has been relentless this season, and that's what I see in The Big Game. Others are seeing things differently as the line plummeted from -13 like a 401(k) plan.

Boise State(-15) for 1*
I passed on the middle opportunity and will ride with the chances of the men from Boise covering one more big number.

TCU(-8) for 1*
I'm expecting TCU to field a competent QB and a fine team, and as ECU trys to come within one score of TCU in their role as a spoiler, I'll continue to fade ECU.

Missouri(+15) for 1*
The Snyder obsession with Nebraska is likely to give Kansas State a wee hangover on the road where I expect they will face a fight against a team that likes to impress.

Minnesota(+8) for 1*
This looks like a live dog if this rivalry means as much to those involved as does the Iowa/Minnesota rivalry.

Florida State(-5 and -6) for 1*
I'm in the minority on this one, "but I have information that is just too hard to ignore."

Miami (Ohio)(-5' and-3') for 1*
AND
Northern Illinois(-3 and Pk) for 1*
The lines moved in my favor, so I hope I can manage at least a split here.

Iowa State(-20' and -17) for 1*
I think the 7-5 Clones will play with some urgency rather than resignation and that good things will happen, but some sustained momentum will be key if any late efforts to cover have to be snuffed.

Michigan(+4) for 1 *
I need to take a side in this game of the day and think I can do so based on the way I have it capped. While overrated, the old nemesis from the north is playing well enough now to be primed to make the equally overrated Buckeyes squirm, but deficiencies in the kicking game will probably let the Buckeyes off the hook.

Rivalry Week. Be nice. Can't we all just get along?
