The only thing you can count on from Ed Belfour is that in the third or fourth year with any team he will ultimately hurt your team. He let in a soft goal and should be given 2 for roughing and 2 for instigating/slashing. What an idiot, your team is down a goal going into the third and you already have been given a two man advantage and are ahead on power plays so you know that the refs are looking to even it up, and he does a typical Crazy Eddie. When you are winning some may consider that endearing and intense, having played hockey my entire adult life, (not very well I might add) let me say that nothing is further from the truth. When the netminder becomes nothing but a distraction and a head case it is time for him to go. Only problem is they wont get a plug nickle for him now cuz he is a goofball with decreasing skills and questionable desire at best. The Stars are in major trouble.
Lets have three cheers for the amazing invisible Captain...yea Hatcher, yea Hatcher...yea who? Slow, stupid and no talent at all.

Only thing he ever had going for him was size. If you are watching htis game, watch him exclusively. He is constantly out of position, has trouble getting the puck out of the zone and has absolutely ZERO leadership skills.
Let me just say I wish the Beloved Blackhawks got to play this team every night. I will stay away from them as the season draws to a close and will go against them every chance I get in the playoffs. Only fear is that I will only be able to go against them four times and out. A team in turmoil....Might as well have Mr. T playing the blue line

where the hell did the Stars get that announcer "Razor", what an idiot. So far has used word physicality? and statitude? stated that Belfour is the better goalie yet losin 2-1 and st6ated that Stars should be ahead in score column if ahead in face offs won...wow...guess they don't expect too much out of stars fans

i didnt realize you were that big of a blackhawk fan? good game, belf was very shaky at first but made some gems late. i agree stars wont get much in return if they trade belf which i why i dont know if they make any deals.....

yes hatch is slow but players fit in certain systems and there arent many other places where he could play. in the smaller nhl rink he can get by at times with his physicality....zubov is the one i have more of a problem with, turning over pucks at an alarming rate, doesnt handle pressure as well this yr..

oh well, chi had them but stars caught a break.

yea Zubov is doing that more consistently lately also.
I have been a huge Hawks fan my whole life, grew up in the area, played in the ymca leagues etc... got to play against Chelios.Olcyzk, and Granato one year. I about shot when Chelios came to Hawks....lol
Anyway, its just that in my opinion, announcers and color guys have to bear the brunt of local public opinion. The average fan barely knows the rules let alone strategy or who is playing well, and when you make a statement like "if you're winning the face offs you are usually winning the game" is irresponsible and a little to homery for me. Course if it was Pat Foley from the Hawks it would be ok...lol.....frustrating but entertaining game.
