Best set of Elite Eight game ever. Tremendous day to watch basketball. Too bad the Final Four and Championship games are now played in spacious domes. The electricity from the crowd during that Illinois game was amazing...about as loud as I've ever heard a crowd (hard to gauge considering I was hearing it thru the TV)..regardless, that type of intimate, raucous atmosphere is almost non-existant during the Final Four.
i loved the game and dont get me wrong etc--but great games seesaw IMHO, then you are undecided who is gonna win throughout--in this and WV game I admittedly in my mind had written off both teams ... Illini winning was even more shocking b/c the teams were more comparable on paper and zona had great FT team ... But i want to state again--they were both incredible games to watch down the stretch ... for two games hoops is right, unreal thrills!
im a geezer but the ucla/louisville semi in wooden's final year was prob best game i ever saw ... Terry Howard goes to line for Crum to ice game (hadnt missed a FT all year 28/28) and dinks with in closing secs--Bruins tie for OT and win game thereafter ... The Wizard gets his 10th crown the next game vs KY ... the Bluegrass had to hate UCLA that year

got ucla/nc st semi on dvd off ebay recently, quality sucked but stil loved it!! and many say the terps/pack game with DT, burleson, monte towe, elmore, mcmillan, lucas was best acc game ever and maybe any ... 103-100 in OT?????
