Buy an Amazon firestick with the Kodi program. I can get everything and don't have to mess with all those sites and viruses. It's awesome.

I thought the Firestick just jumped the show from your comp to the tv screen......

Nope. It works off of ur wifi and with the Kodi program, you can watch everything. Any tv series from all time, any movie including stuff in the theaters, and live tv.

I'm interested as well... was looking to buy the fire stick on amazon, then saw the Kodi loaded version for an extra $20 or so and remembered seeing some discussion about it here on MJs. My concern is how long before the version of Kodi loaded on the stick becomes obsolete? Then what happens? I ask because the one sold on Amazon is loaded with v15 but looks like v16 was just released.

Kodi should update automatically on it. I know mine does, not sure if I set up at that way or not. It's been a long time since I've messed with it. I use a raspberry pi but it works the same way. My wife pretty much only uses the Kodi now and no cable.

Thanks for the quick answer! Yeah I'm dropping cable and was intending to signup for netflix, hulu and hbo but I'll give this a whirl first. Ordering now... hopefully operators will be standing by.

If you get rid of cable, how do you watch sporting events that come on ESPN, Fox Sports, SEC Network, etc...?

There are several sports channels that contain hundreds of sports feeds. On mine, when I click on it, the sporting events are listed by time, I go to what I want, click, and watch. I haven't done a search for anything yet that it didn't have.
