This month has showcased some big players winning some very important Kentucky Derby Prep races. Barbaro took care of the competition at the Grade 1 Florida Derby at Gulfstream Park winning with a time of 1 minute and 49 seconds. The Kentucky Derby favorite; Brother Derek easily destroyed his enemies at the Santa Anita Derby for an amazing time of 1:48.

The Kentucky Derby will probably have a full field again and the most of the morning line favorites tend to win less frequently in crowded races. It?s still anybody?s guess with just over 2 weeks of injury and illness to cancel Derby hopes, but if luck is with Brother Derek, he may very well come home with the Roses.
