Well on his way to avoiding another monstrous loss total before the break, he took his game to new levels the second half last year, going 6-6 with a 3.55 ERA. Overall, he posted his first 200-inning season while tossing his first ML shutout as well. A smarter pitcher every year, he should be better in '05.
