MLB:

SATURDAY:

DODGERS (41-52)

3:15 PM
FOX

METS (47-46)

East coast meets West coast as two of big market teams down on their luck this year square off. The Dodgers are down after letting lots of talent go in the off-season but Jeff Kent (15HR, 60RBI, .300) is a warrior who never quits! The Mets play in the best division in baseball and are still only 6.5 games out of first place and with their talent could still take the NL East.

BRAVES (53-42)

9:40 PM
WTBS

D?BACKS (46-50)

The Braves have a strong pitching staff and slugger Andruw Jones (29HR, 73RBI) is on fire this season. Playing in the NL East every game counts and playing the D?Backs should be a break for the Bravos. The D?Backs have a losing record but are only 5 game behind San Diego I the weak NL West, they have no intentions of rolling over for the Braves.

SUNDAY:

CUBS (48-45)

8:05 PM
ESPN

CARDINALS (60-33)

A few short years ago this was a great rivalry, but ?Big Mac? and ?Slammin? Sammy are both gone now and the Cardinals own this division. The Cubbies are in the hunt for the NL Wild Card, have Triple Crown threat Derek Lee (30HR, 77RBI, .376) and their entire pitching staff healthy and ready for a second half run. The ?Cards? too have assembled a great pitching staff and have Albert Pujols (25HR, 75RBI, .338), who many feel is the best player in the game.

RED SOX (51-42)

3:05 PM
WGN

WHITE SOX (62-30)

Sox vs. Sox. This one should be the best match up of the weekend as these two first place teams square off. Clearly the Red Sox need these games more as they are wrapped up in a battle for first place in the AL East. The White Sox have the best record in baseball and I am really excited to see how fair against a top competitor like the Red Sox.

NASCAR:

Pennsylvania 500 Pocono Raceway, Long Pond, Pa.

For those of you jot familiar with NASCAR, Pocono Raceway is a unique tri-oval track that features three big turns with three different degrees of banking, along with three long straight-aways making for bumper to bumper racing in the turns, 200MPH slingshots on the straight-aways and lots of photo finishes. Jimmie Johnson won both races at Pocono last year and is the odds on favorite again in this one. Here is a sampling of the odds to win!
