It may be overshadowed by March Madness, and its Final Four, but the NCAA Men?s Ice Hockey Championship, and its Frozen Four, is no less exciting.

And there are just as many betting opportunities available, especially at betED.com, where you can wager on all the on-ice action starting with a full slate of opening-round games Friday and Saturday.

You can also bet on which team will win its regional round, like the Midwest: Notre Dame (+125); Boston University (+175); Michigan State (+400); Alabama Huntsville (+2000).

Earlier this week, the NCAA Division I Men?s Ice Hockey Committee selected the 16 teams that will be participating in the 2007 NCAA Division I Men?s Ice Hockey Championship.

The championship playoff format involves four predetermined regional sites with four teams assigned to each site. The four regional winners advance to the Men?s Frozen Four. The entire championship uses a single-elimination format.

Automatic qualification privileges are granted to the postseason champions of six conferences. The remainder of the field is selected at large.

The University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, was the No. 1 overall seed. The other No. 1 seeds, in order, included the University of Notre Dame, Clarkson University and the University of New Hampshire.

The Men?s Frozen Four will be on April 5 and 7 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. On April 5, the East Regional Champion will face the Midwest Regional Champion at 4pm ET, followed by the Northeast Regional Champion against the West Regional Champion at 8 pm ET.
The National Championship game is on April 7 at 7 p.m. Eastern time.

ESPN is airing all 15 tournament games live.
