Almost time for Florida Alabama betting
picks! The anticipation for the huge game is unbearable. Since we need a
distraction, let's bet on some hockey odds for Friday night's NHL
action.

Tampa Bay Lightning @ New Jersey Devils
Friday,
December 4, 7:00 p.m. ET

We don't like what I saw from the Devils against
Vancouver on Wednesday night. They came out flat and are 7-5-0 at home versus
12-2-1 on the road. However, the numbers are deceiving. New Jersey started 0-4
at home this season and had actually won seven straight on home ice before that
loss.

The matchup doesn't look good for Tampa, as its penalty killing is
struggling and the Lightning have lost four of five games. However, there's
potential for a nice little upset win at your online
sportsbook
here. The Devils play seven of their next eight games at home and
may be a bit too relaxed. Also, since they get Detroit the next night, there's a
good chance they'll sit Martin Brodeur for a rare rest on Friday. That could
mean open season for Steven Stamkos on backup goalie Yann Danis. The Lightning
are a risky play to say the least but I have a hunch about them.

NHL
betting pick: Lightning

Boston Bruins @ Montreal
Canadiens
Friday, December 4, 8:00 p.m. ET

As the woeful Leafs
showed with a shutout victory over them Tuesday night, the Montreal Canadiens
are ripe for the picking right now. Carey Price is playing fine but the injuries
to Scott Gomez, Brian Gionta and Andrei Markov have dried up the Habs' offense.
Montreal's tough divisional week includes a trip to Buffalo Thursday night
before it hosts Boston on Friday.

Simply put, the Bruins are back.
They're 6-0-1 in their last seven games and are thrilled to have Marc Savard
back from injury and freshly signed to a long-term contract. Tim Thomas has
regained his Vezina Trophy-winning form and, even if he gets a rest, Tuukka Rask
has been sensational in relief duty. I just don't see how the tiny Hab forwards
can score on the big, bruising Bruins. Pick Boston with confidence and hope you
get some underdog value for them on the road.
