It appears that Beverly Hills Bookie is now under the ownership of the same group that owns V-Wager, MVP Sportsbook and Players Superbook. I have never played at any of these books so I can't give a good recommendation for or against them. I don't like the idea of confiscating bonus money and deposit fee reimburements if winnings are withdrawn within 30 days opening an account. I don't mind it if the book requires that my initial deposit and bonus are left in the account for a period of time, but it seems unfair to me to keep player winnings as well.

One thing I will say is that this is a blow to players in general. From what I can tell these books pretty much mirror one another in terms of lines and bonuses. That means less options and less value for the player. The good side of things is that if the reason for the change in ownership was that BHB's old owners were broke, then at least players are not getting stiffed.

I am very surprised by that, because I have had no problem getting paid by them.

And I was actually prefering them over oly and pinnacle because the half time lines were put quicker than those books.

We will see how the change, changes things.

Are you saying that ht lines were up before the actual ht at these places? Oly is known for having HT lines up before it actually reaches HT so your statement threw me by surprise.

I noticed over the last couple of weeks that, at least on the website, Oly's NBA HT lines were definitely not getting up before the 1st half ended like they often have in the past. I only checked a couple of times, though.

countinguy,

I surfed around a bit and one report said that BHB was owned by a deep-pocketed book called Legendz and that nobody had ever been slow-paid or stiffed, but that Legendz was unhappy with that TV commercial they posted and that in part led to them being sold to V-Wager/MVP/PlayersSB. I'm not sure how much truth there is to that.

Obviously something has changed as far as their marketing department goes because usually they are all over this forum. Now this thread has been up for over a half an hour without a BHB rep posting anything about it. Looks like they are taking a less hands-on approach to marketing. No more pictures of Mark McGrath in a BHB hat to lure customers. How disappointing.
