WOW!!!..........Man with a win from TEXAS tonight the BIG 12 will have 4 teams in the GREAT 8 which is remarkable......Does anyone know when the last time a conference had 4 teams in the GREAT 8? Thanks for any input....Have a good day fellas.

all i know is that the rest of the nation is lucky that the idiot committee put the 4 best big 12 teams in 2 regions!!!!

otherwise, we might be seeing 4 of them in the Final 4!!!!!

Seems like the sweet 16 to the final four should match teams from different conferences. It is obvious this committee didn't have the forethought or knowledge to place the best 4 teams from the Big-12 in different regions. :moon:

Ummm, I think the Big XII only got 2 teams in the Elite Eight last night, still alot of work left to do to get the 4 teams in or to get 2 in the final four. This Big XII pride reminds me alot of all the puffy chests before the bowl season. And then . . .

Yeah that sucks that the Big 12 only had 4 potential teams in position for the National Title game within the last week of conference play and only 1 playing in it.

I'm sure we could all take lessons from the Big 10 next time.

Kansas is already in.........another CAKEWALK for them....If you think that Illinois is gonna BEAT Kansas please think again....there is no way.....Frank Williams is a Ball Hogg and Kansas will eat his lunch tonight......He is all about the NBA and wants to impress the scouts too much to win against this well-balanced Kansas team who can kill you on the inside as well from beyond 3-pt range....Kansas has played in too many of these type of games during the regular season in conference alone.....I will say this again look at who Kansas has played compared to Illinois......NO COMPARISON....CAKEWALK.

Ever hear the ancient Greek expression "Pride goeth before a fall".

Is Kansas a better team than Illinois? Absolutely. Should they win tonight? Absolutely. Will they win tonight? Who knows, was Duke a better team than Indiana? Yes, but they're home tonight and Indiana is getting ready to play for the Final Four tomorrow.

If the Kansas team has your attitude, they'll get burned tonight. I believe that Kansas WILL win tonight. Hell, they might even win big, but anytime you're playing a team as deep, talented and dangerous as this Illinois team you better not be thinking "CAKEWALK". More talented Kansas teams have fallen to less talented teams than Illinois.

And Frankie Williams is not a ball hog, that my have been true of him last year and early this year, but it isn't the case anymore. The only time Williams hogs the rock is when his teammates can't get anything going and he needs to take the game over. But Williams isn't even the player to watch tonight. The game will be decided by the Cook-Gooden matchup. Everybody (at least everybody in Illinois) has been waiting for Cook to step up in a big game and be the player everyone expected him to be.

Just my thoughts, and I'm fully prepared to eat a whole lot of crow when Kansas gets up by 25 in the 1st half.

I hear ya.....lol......hopefully I don't have to put my foot in my mouth on this one but I just think that the BIG 12 teams this year had to play tourney like games all season during conference play....I also believe that the Illini's only chance is if Mr. Williams doesnt play that way...BTW I love cook's game.....

Think Kansas will win, too, although gotta admit I'm wary of Illinois. They're dangerous. Been impressed by Illini's game 2nd half of the season. And Brian Cook.....wouldn't have any other big man on the FT line in a tight game, he's $$$....and the guy's got such a sweet shot.
